Seasonally Raw

julienned vegetables with pesto and sun-dried tomatoes

This page features raw food preparation recipes. Basically, raw food is unprocessed nuts (walnut, cashew, almond, etc.), seeds (including sunflower, buckwheat, wheat, oats, lentils, and beans), fruits, and vegetables (including sea vegetables, fermented vegetables, and sprouts) that have not been heated above 115 degrees. Above that temperature, the food has lost enzymes – a great part of the nutrition.
